Valencia Basket and Falomir Juegos bring smiles back to the faces of children
Valencia Basket did not want to miss one of the most heartwarming Christmas traditions. One more year — and now fifteen consecutive seasons — the Club has once again joined forces with Falomir Juegos to carry out the “Un juguete, una Sonrisa” campaign, jointly spreading joy and toys among the boys and girls who are hospitalized in the different hospitals of our city during these special dates.
The entire women’s team, accompanied by the mascot PAM and the Director of External Relations, Víctor Luengo, was able to enjoy firsthand the smiles of the true protagonists, who had a great time and did not stop taking photos with the players at both Quirónsalud Valencia Hospital and the Hospital Universitari i Politècnic La Fe, as well as Hospital Universitario Doctor Peset. Beyond the players themselves, the Valencia Basket representative thanked Falomir for “walking hand in hand with us one more year, providing those toys that bring joy and hope to people who are hospitalized during these days.”
Cristina Ouviña summed up the team’s feelings after the visit: “It makes us very happy to see how excited they are just by seeing us. It’s something very rewarding and it brings us a lot of joy.”
Sergio Negre, Head of Pediatrics at Quirónsalud, highlighted the importance of this type of initiative: “When activities like these take place, they always motivate the children, they really excite them and help them recover much faster from their illnesses.”
Emilio Monteagudo, Head of Pediatrics at Hospital La Fe, emphasized the excitement of both the children and the staff: “It has been a very pleasant visit and one that was eagerly awaited by all the children and everyone who works here. Deep down, we are all a bit like children, and it makes us happy.”
Finally, Luis Ibáñez, Manager of Hospital Doctor Peset, shared the same view: “It is important for us. It conveys hope and joy, and within what it means to be in a hospital, it is a moment that, thanks to you, they will remember as a very happy one.”
